Northeast Georgia Cancer Care Center

Koons Environmental Design, Inc. was fortunate to be involved in such a valuable project from its inception. The firm was charged with the design and preparation of the project site plan, including appropriate locations for buildings, intersections, parking areas, and open space.

The final site plan presents a multi level design that engages a state highway streetscape to the east and a lake and surrounding open green space to the west.

The project landscape offers a variety of outdoor spaces for a variety of users, from quiet gardens for patients and staff to open plazas for retail customers and visitors.

In an effort to gain public approval for the Northeast Georgia Cancer Care Center, Koons Environmental Design, Inc. steered the project through a series of community meetings, from get-togethers with the adjacent residential community to conferences with the county planning commission.
